Adult Education Programmes – Macbeth Centre

Our adult education programme at the Macbeth Centre, Hammersmith provide a variety of courses that can assist you in advancing your career, learn new skills and improve your health and wellbeing. We are delighted to share some of our courses starting in April, with a focus on children and families:

 

FLUS01 Upcycling Saturdays

3 week course starts 1st April and next two sessions 22nd & 29th April (closed for Easter) ages 6+

Bring in tired old clothes eg. jeans, Tshirts etc and upcycle them using fabric paint, sew on appliqués, block printing, screen printing,  hand made pom-poms and tassels, hand-stitching methods, fabric patches and stencilling.  

FLFLG01 Fight Like a Girl

one off workshop. Women and girls 10+

The course will include theory, and physical training. The overall aim is that the participants leave feeling safe, and with the conviction that they will know how to manage any dangerous situations accordingly.

FLPUP01 Creative Play: Paper Puppetry workshop

one off workshop. Ages 4-11

With innovative and fun resources prepared with the resources of EU Storymakers by H&F, these workshops are an imaginative space for young children to play and create stories with their families. In the workshops, adults and their young ones will join in with games and activities in an interactive and creative environment. In the Paper Puppetry Workshop, families will learn how to make puppets out of paper and will be given the opportunity to create a short story using their creations. At the end of the workshop, families are invited to take their creations home to continue playing and creating

Family Learning Piano

1-1 sessions for parents & children to try out the piano with our experienced tutor.

Half hour slots available on 1st April, 22nd April and  13th May

We have a wide array of courses in English, Maths, Heath, History, Language, Food Studies, Bicycle, Business and much more!
