Early Years: Good Autism Practice – EYFS Maintained from INSPIRE – Part 2

INSPIRE Communication & Interaction Autism Team are hosting another AET training opportunity. This training is
within the Universal Offer, Ordinarily Available Framework and is for staff in Hammersmith & Fulham Early Years
setting/school who work with autistic children. It provides practitioners with practical strategies when working with autistic
children. The module also includes guidance on developing a pupil-centred education plan (PCEP) for an autistic child
Training taking place via Microsoft Teams (joining instructions will be sent out following the closing date and prior to the
session). The course presenters will be Specialist Teachers from INSPIRE
The aims of ‘Good autism practice in Early Year’ to support practitioners who work directly with autistic children are to:
✓ Develop their knowledge and understanding of good autism practice.
✓ Reflect on and improve their practice in working with autistic children
✓ Understand strategies and approaches they can draw upon for autistic children they work with.
✓ Consider how to involve the autistic child and their family in the child’s education.
✓ Enhance and embed inclusive practice for autistic children
When –participants will need to register to attend one session for each of 2 parts to the Training
