Over the years the way that assessment is done in the Early Years has been the subject of much discussion, debate and myth. The aim of this session is to unpick and demystify the ‘what, why and how’ of effective and informed early assessment. We will refer to current legislation alongside Ofsted documentation to reflect on what is, and is not, useful data that will accurately demonstrate progress
