October is Black History Month (BHM) in the UK. We know all our schools have contributed in acknowledging Black History and this year, we look forward to working with you to create exciting lesson plans and resources to support the rich and diverse community we work in.

On the 17 May at 3.45, we invite you to attend a Preparing for Black History month session in partnership with the British Museum who will support your school.  Together at this session, we can collaborate and inspire each other to make this year’s celebration bigger than ever.

We will also hear from some of our schools who have plans this summer term to celebrate BHM. We would also invite you to share BHM collaboratively on the 6 October. This could be an assembly, or a lesson using the plans we will create together. If you would like to be part of this momentous day, please register to book your place.

For those of you who were lucky enough to attend the David Olusoga talk last term, your school will receive his book later this term. We are working with our postal team so you can get this resource shortly.
