- The EYSG is to increase the hourly amounts paid to local authorities, so that they can increase the amount of funding early years childcare providers receive for delivering the entitlements for the period September 2023 to March 2024 for the financial year 2023 to 2024.
-
- £204m to local authorities through a new standalone top-up grant
- As a result of this additional funding, funding rates to local authorities increase by an average of 32%, for the current 2-year-old entitlement, and an average of 6.3% for the 3-and-4-year-old entitlements, compared with the current 2023-24 rates.
