EY: Anna Freud Resources and Events

Anna Freud is a National Centre for Children and Families. This year they are collaborating with organisations to create resources and events which tackle issues you may encounter when supporting young children and their families.

They provide:

• a ‘How to help young children think about race in the early years (annafreud.org) booklet, which looks at the various ways that race and racism can impact under-fives
• a Cost of living webinar which looks at how nurseries can support families who may be struggling financially, and manage the crisis in their setting
• information to help prepare and manage the response to potentially traumatic events Critical incidents in schools and early years settings 

Furthermore, information on the launch of phase three of the DfE funded Early Years Professional Development Programme. The aim of the programme is to provide early years practitioners with the knowledge, skills and resources to support the development of children. Training is free-to-access and available to up to 10,000 eligible practitioners and childminders across England. It is set to run until 2025 with staggered start dates over four cohorts, the first of which is February 6^th and the second is September.
