DfE will be tendering to review the Level 3 qualifications, with implications for Sept 2023
The DfE requires providers to assess early years qualifications and determine whether the qualifications meet the new Early Years Educator (EYE) level 3 criteria, to be published in Spring 2023, so that holders of these qualifications can be considered to be a Level 3 qualified member of staff within an early years setting. The new criteria will come into effect from September 2024.They are seeking insight from the market regarding the evaluation and assessment of existing and new Level 3 early years qualifications.
