Dear Colleagues,

We are excited to open the CACHE Level 3 endorsed Chef Academy to all nurseries and Early Years settings. Our next cohorts start in May and lasts ~5 months. Discounts are available to non-profit nurseries and those that offer the 2-year-old funding entitlement.

Participating Early Years chefs will become experts in child nutrition, including everything from portion sizes and weaning, to menu-planning and managing allergies, while building their confidence to conduct exciting food-related activities with children, staff and parents. What’s more, chefs will be taught how to embed learnings from training into a whole nursery approach to healthy food and nutrition.

We have had the course evaluated externally and have gathered fantastic feedback. 100% of chefs said they would recommend the training to other nursery chefs, 100% of chefs improved their understanding of children’s health and development and age-appropriate portion sizes and 89% of chefs felt more motivated to serve healthy food. You can find our full interim impact report here, and a summary infographic attached.
