As schools move into the New Year, they would have hoped that the uncertainty of lockdowns and their associated disruption might have finally been over. Sadly this is not the case and here at Firefly we want to play our part and support as many schools as we can in these challenging circumstances. To this end, for the second year running, we are offering free use of the core elements of our platform until the end of the academic year, to those schools not already using Firefly, who need some extra support at this time.

Firefly works with hundreds of schools worldwide. Fully integrated with Microsoft Teams, our learning management system allows teachers to deliver engaging lessons remotely, set work and assignments and share resources. As schools move in and out of lockdown, Firefly supports effective teaching and learning wherever this is taking place.

In addition, we’ve pulled together some of the best practices we have seen in schools, along with a selection of our webinars, looking at how to support teaching and learning, whatever the situation.

  • When students are learning from home, normal school practice can be turned on its head. Flipped Learning is ideally suited to this situation with its focus on independent learning and activities. Get the most out of Flipped Learning with this on-demand webinar.
  • As we move into another period of uncertainty, how can schools help their staff and ensure that their wellbeing needs are being met? Read our article for strategies and ideas to support staff in the months ahead.
  • We’ve been catching up with teachers to understand what's been working on the ground and how they have been managing a blended learning approach. Download our eBook to see what they are doing.

Please do get in touch with us if you would like to find out more about how we can help you at your school.

Stay safe and best wishes,

The Firefly Team
