Please see message from our Early Years Team

In light of the recent information that childminder numbers are decreasing we want to highlight support that is available to you so that you can continue childminding for as long as you wish.

1. DfE childminder mentor programme

There is currently a Free childminder mentor program available from the Department for Education which looks at supporting the development of practice linked to curriculum areas of the EYFS. Applications for the programme are open until Thursday 30th November 2023 for Spring 2024

2. Continuous Professional Development Programme

There is a range of training available for childminders in our Continuous professional development programme including an opportunity to meet with a Speech and language therapist to discuss any Speech and language concerns or questions. 3. Contact the Early Years team for support

The Early years advisors are here to support you with all areas of the EYFS, including safeguarding and Ofsted.
