School Admissions for children arriving from the Ukraine

Quick Navigation

Mar 30 2022

As we welcome the first Ukraine refugees to the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, ensuring a school place is made available for all children aged 4+ to 16+ at one of our local schools, is a priority. Once in school, children will be well placed to access the normal range of support available.

School Admissions will be maintaining records of all such placements. To ensure we can keep track of demand and that any available funding to support this cohort is passed onto schools, please ensure you notify us immediately, by emailing school.admissions@lbhf.gov.uk providing the following information:

  • child’s name
  • date of birth,
  • parents/carers name,
  • address in H&F
  • date on roll.

This is in addition to schools continuing to make their statutory ‘Starters and Leavers’ returns.

Please note, schools should continue to ensure they only admit children in line with their existing admissions criteria and policy. School Admissions staff remain available every day between 9.00am and 1.00pm (tel: 0208 753 1085) to answer any enquiries.

Action required:  Notify School Admissions at school.admissions@lbhf.gov.uk of all children identified as arriving from Ukraine, to whom a place has been offered at your school,  once the child has enrolled
