The nominations for the London Borough Apprenticeship Awards are now open! 

The awards recognise the excellence of apprentices working across London local government in a range of sectors including finance, housing, regeneration, and waste and recycling.

This is our opportunity to show the value of apprenticeships and the positive impact it has had on Hammersmith & Fulham Council.

If you are an apprentice or have an apprentice in your team, please submit a nomination to be recognised!

We're looking for entries in the following categories – we're encouraging colleagues to submit a nomination for each category:

  1. Best contribution by a new apprenticeThe award recognises the outstanding contribution new apprentices have made to their borough in their time.
  2. Best progression by an apprenticeThis category is for apprentices who have completed their first apprenticeship with the council and have moved on to an advanced or higher apprenticeship (Level 3 or above) or into employment in the council. 
  3. Best apprentice working in the supply chainThis category is for outstanding achievements or contributions by an apprentice working for a council contractor or supplier. 
  4. Best apprentice working in schoolsThis category is for outstanding achievements or contributions by an apprentice working for a school or local authority-run nursery. 
  5. The Andy Scott award for best manager or mentor: This category is for the most inspirational, hard-working, supportive, or creative manager or mentor within the council. 
  6. Best work with supply chains and local businesses to create new apprenticeshipsThis is an award for the local authority that has undertaken the best work with contractors and local businesses to get them to commit to creating apprenticeships in their workforce.
