In an email to schools yesterday, the DfE announced that the educational setting status form will change from a daily to a weekly collection from next week. The collection day will be every Thursday, meaning the first collection from next week will be 10 March. The form will stay open daily so schools can report any closures. The DfE is going to review the continuation of the form at Easter.

The DfE has updated its guidance on recording attendance during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic to reflect the latest public health guidance on tracing close contacts, self-isolation and when someone has coronavirus symptoms or tests positive
