With the increase in both case numbers and outbreaks in Primary Schools, Tahirah Chaves, together with Dr Nicola Lang and Sharon Egdell called an Extraordinary Primary Headteachers Meeting which took place on Friday morning, 26 November 2021,  to put some proposals to Headteachers with regards to the prevention of transmission in schools and avoid as much disruption as possible in the run-up to Christmas and to listen to their feedback and major concerns.

Topics discussed were:

• Lateral flow testing for children - regular 'family' testing using Lateral Flow testing Kits every Sunday before the forthcoming school week. 
• Communication for parents - Easy to read but engaging.  Colourful and Bright
• Vaccination pop ups - mobile pop-up units placed outside/close to their school to encourage families to use
